The 28-year-old actress admits she loved her union with The Green Lantern star and has now realised a successful relationship doesn’t necessarily have to mean being married.
She said: “I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It’s hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn’t mean you have to be married. I never think about marriage. Is that weird? The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me.”
And the ‘Hitchcock’ actress insists marrying again is not high on her list of priorities because she is not at a point in her life where it is something she needs to consider.
Speaking to the February edition of Britain’s ELLE magazine, she said: “Would I get married again?” It’s really not important to me.
“It has no relevance to me right now. I’m not having kids any time soon, I’m in a nice relationship, I’m working a lot and, like I said, it’s not important to me.”
The full interview with Scarlett appears in the February issue of ELLE UK, which goes on sale on Wednesday. It is also available as a digital edition. For more information, visit www.elleuk.com.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are practically the poster couple for celebs against marriage, but perhaps not anymore. They've both been hitched before and have been very vocal about their decision to not walk down the aisle in the past, but, now that their 6 kids are getting older, Brad claims the two might need to revisit the subject. However, there are plenty of skeptics who say all the new marriage talk is a big ploy to drum up publicity for Brad's new flick. Hmmm.
