You can now add Lincoln Lewis to the short list of Australian actors who’ve starred in both Home and Away and Neighbours: he’s signed up to the latter soap for a four-week stint as a marine biologist.
But! Lincoln won’t actually pop up on Ramsay Street. He’ll film all his scenes in Port Douglas, in north Queensland, where his character meets visiting Neighbours regulars including Kate (Ashleigh Brewer, who Lincoln worked with on The Sleepover Club when they were both kids) and Paul (Stefan Dennis).
“I’ve wanted to be on Neighbours since I was a little kid and finally it has happened,” said Lincoln, according to Digital Spy.
“I’m filming in Port Douglas and working with Ashleigh Brewer and Stefan Dennis — it doesn’t get any better.”
Lincoln, who quit Home and Away in 2009, has been getting his clothes off in Underbelly: Razor, playing the frequently shirtless toyboy of Sydney crime queen Kate Leigh (Danielle Cormack). He’s also appeared in the FOX8 drama SLiDE.
The “Tomorrow, When the War Began” star will make a surprise appearance on “Australia’s Next Top Model” tonight on FOX 8, 7:35pm (EST) as the girls get the chance to strut their stuff on the acting stage in the hope of starring in a national campaign. Then, a group photo shoot provides the chance for some to stand out, while others fade into the background.
