He announced his departure as like many of the Home and Away stars before him, he is trying his luck overseas.
Discussing his exit, Scott told TV Week: “I’m excited. The time I’ve had has gone so quickly and I’ve learnt a lot as an actor.
“Halfway through the year, I’m going to head over to America to suss it out. It’ll prepare me for what’s to come.”
“With the rise of Netflix, acting work is becoming more obtainable. So, it’s a good move for me to go over there.”
Home and Away will be waving goodbye to Hunter King next year as Scott Lee is bowing out of the role.
Scott joined the soap last year and was immediately thrown into a dramatic storyline as Hunter was revealed to be the estranged son of Zac MacGuire.
However, Hunter’s time in the show will come to an end later in 2017, with further details about his exit being kept under wraps for now.
