Six-time Grammy-winner Lady Gaga has seen her share of the award show limelight. This year, she’s dedicating her appearance to another legend.
In tribute to the late David Bowie, who died at the age of 69 in January, Gaga made her 2016 Grammys debut with bright orange hair and a midnight blue star suit a la Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust.
The star shared an emotional behind-the-scenes video earlier in the night, crying as her bright blue eyeshadow was applied by an artist.
“The world loves you David,” she wrote.
Gaga is up for the Grammy for best song written for visual media this year for “‘Til It Happens to You.” The win would follow last year’s triumph, when she won best traditional pop vocal album for Cheek to Cheek.
