Lady Gaga is back presenting Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 16 collection via a short film.
There were murmurs the designer was skipping shows this season when his name didn’t appear on the London Fashion Week schedule.
But now it’s been confirmed the Poker Face musician will appear in a runway video called Funk the Punk, shot by Nick Knight.
“Instead of having a traditional show this season, I decided to try something new. I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online,” he explained to WWD.
Select editors will see the film Friday morning (02Oct15), and it will be made available to the public via Tom’s website at 1pm CET.
Gaga is clearly excited about the project, as she posted a teaser on Twitter. Set to dramatic music, she can be seen writhing around in a black crop top and matching briefs. It’s dark around her, but the catwalk is lit up beneath her.
“The first time Tom Ford and Nick Knight worked together, I got to be there,” she posted, adding a crying emoji.
Jordan Barrett can now add Tom Ford to his resume as he just stared in the new campaign.
