Flicking through Liams hottest moments gallery will serve you justice this afternoon as we present this week’s featured model for Male Model Monday!
Sydney boy Liam Hall has made quite a name for himself after landing top jobs including campaigns with Fitness First, Bonds, Van Heusen & Calvin Klein.
Agency: Priscilla’s Model Management
Jobs include: David Jones, Ben Sherman, Fitness First, Bonds, Van Heusen, Calvin Klein and The Men’s Shop, as well as appearing at Mercedes Benz fashion week.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the outskirts of Canberra, ACT and moved to Sydney to pursue modelling.
Was it very fashionable?
Not where I was living. You’d be lucky not to see jumper and trackies at the shops on a daily basis.
Did you grow up reading magazines?
I did. Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Men’s Health. I loved GQ. They all told stories of another world.
How were you discovered?
I’d just moved to Sydney and was still getting acquainted with the city. I was wandering Potts Point and pulled into a Woolworths. There I bumped into the director and men’s booker for Priscillas Model Management. I’ve been with them ever since.
What has been your dream campaign?
I’ve always wanted to model for Calvin Klein. Their campaigns have always influenced me and the models that have worked with them are some of my biggest inspiration.
Whose runway have you always wanted to walk?
Karl Lagerfeld. Damn, you have to be pretty special to walk for Chanel.
What is your favorite city?
My favourite city is Stockholm. I have Swedish heritage and when I first visited, I felt a visceral connection. A beautiful place in Winter and in the Summer.
What is your favorite food?
Man, I love fruit. Namely, mangoes, bananas and oranges, but the real potent stuff like pomegranate is insanely good.
Tell us about your first shoot?
Well, my first ever gig in Sydney was a small intimate fashion showing for David Jones at the Ivy. Alex Perry, Megan Gale and Miranda Kerr were in the room so that was pretty wicked!
My first shoot was a test shoot with Zanita Whittington, we started at a cafe then wandered around bondi shooting in the streets. It was awesome!
How do you prepare to walk?
I watch the greats do their thing at the various fashion weeks around the world. I love watching Baptiste Giabiconi walk. It comes down to confidence. At the end of the day I’ve got a job to do and I’m gonna do it.
Favorite social media site:
Does Instagram count? That’s about all I use these days. I love following iconic people doing good things in this world.
Coolest photographer you have worked with:
Simon Lekias. I’ve worked with him on a Bonds shoot and also Peter Alexander. He’s definitely one cool dude, that and his Hasselblad.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My Mum, though my little bro would be competing hard. Both give me purpose. My Mum has always let me do my thing and always supported that. I’m very grateful.
Your favorite place to go shopping?
The number 1 would have to be The Grove in LA. Part outdoors, complete with a farmers market and cinema. So many good memories there.
What’s your idea of fun?
Adventure. There’s only so much we get to do in our lives, we can’t waste a second. Skydiving, snowboarding and motorbikes are all up there. Lately mountain hiking and rock climbing have become a weekly thing.
Place you would love to visit?
I would love to visit Antarctica. A place that’s still relatively untouched and before it disappears. The National Geographic photographers capture some beautiful wild life and scenery there.
Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
Currently I’m obsessed with the TV series Vikings. Travis Fimmel is an Aussi and former model too, damn he’s badass. Great series!
What’s your diet like?
Pretty simple. I pick the food from the grocery store and eat it almost raw. Not a lot of meat if any. If it comes in a box or container I’m wary.
Which physical feature you are most proud of?
I’m proud of my abdominals. Your core is integral for pretty much everything so I always keep it strong and in shape. In high school we would always compete about who had the best ‘washboard’ abs.
What do you think is the number one thing keeping you motivated?
A fierce determination to fulfill my potential and make a difference. Who are we not to be great. It’s an attitude I’ve always had.
